Come to MoonTree Studios for an end-of-the-holidays and return-to-work party, traditionally known as Twelfth Night. In antiquity, return to work meant return to spinning for the old maids/spinsters to eke out a living. And in the modern spirit of this holiday, while spinning means our hands are full, we can make merry doing it and start the year off right! Games and feats may include partnering with a non-spinner for team challenges in spinning, a Trivial Pursuit for textile fanatics, and a friendly fiber exchange.
- For spinners, weavers, quilters, knitters, those who crochet or do needle-work, etc.
- A time to show and tell, share, trade, play games, and partake of food and good company
- Bring food to share—we’ll have a soup pot going so bring a veggie to add or bread, and a salad or dessert. We’ll wassail the apple trees for a good year in 2014 (i.e. drink apple cider and sing to the spirits of the orchard.)
- Bring a white elephant gift or something to trade
- Bring your fiber work to play!
